About ScamperingPaws.com
When I was a kid, I was terrified of dogs. One day the neighbor's dog, a tiny, happy, excitable ball of fluff ran towards me - and I started running away in pure fear. In my panic, I tripped over my own feet and this little ball of fur launched itself at me, wriggling in happiness and bestowing kisses. I fell in love.
Since then, I've had many dogs and a couple of cats, too. I started ScamperingPaws.com when they were still pretty young and full of energy. As they got older, my interests became more and more invested in caring for senior pets. The site has since transformed into a "how to care for senior pets" information portal. After my original two dogs passed, I have adopted senior dogs - not because I feel sorry for them, but because I love them! They're sweet and funny, and we enjoy our time together, no matter how much of it we have.
I'm not a vet. I have no medical background whatsoever. I'm just a regular pet owner who has cared for old pets through a variety of medical conditions. I firmly believe in quality of life over longevity, and so ScamperingPaws.com contains many of my own personal experiences in what I was able to do to help maintain my pets' quality of life. Hope you are able to find some helpful tidbits here and there.
